An honest guide to MiniMax AI

Why we built this

MiniMax is one of the most capable multimodal AI platforms in 2025 — and the marketing around it is, like most AI marketing, full of vague claims. We wanted a place where creators could find honest, hands-on answers to practical questions: Which plan is worth it? How do tokens actually work? What does the video quality look like on real projects?

So we built it. Every article on this site is based on real use of the platform. Where we don't have a hands-on answer, we say so. Where the platform is genuinely great, we say that too.

Editorial principles

1. Hands-on first. Every recommendation is tested against a real workload before we publish.
2. Honest numbers. We don't publish invented stats, fake user counts, or fabricated testimonials. If a number is approximate, we say so.
3. No dark patterns. No fake "live" notifications, no fake urgency timers, no fake "X people are looking at this right now."
4. Transparent affiliate. When we link to a token plan and earn a commission, we disclose it. Plainly, in plain English.
5. Update, don't abandon. Pricing and features change. We revisit our reviews at least quarterly and update dates visibly.

Who writes this

A small group of working creators, developers, and writers who use MiniMax as part of our own production workflows. We pay for our own subscriptions, write under our own names, and don't accept paid placements in editorial content.

How we make money

Two ways, both disclosed:

1. Affiliate links. When you sign up for a MiniMax token plan through one of our links, we may earn a small commission. It doesn't change your price.
2. Sponsored placements (clearly marked). Occasionally a brand pays for a clearly-labeled sponsored slot. Sponsored slots are always marked and never influence our editorial rankings.

What we won't do
